Just stumbled upon this picture I took a while ago when visiting Tartu, Estonia, so I figured I’d share it.
The Upside Down House (Tagurpidi Maja) is located near the beautiful and very interesting Estonian National Museum in the Raadi neighbourhood, on the outskirts of Tartu. Everything inside is also turned upside down, with furniture hanging from the ceiling. While not unheard of, it is a fun sight and worth taking a quick snapshot.
I have to admit that I haven’t visited it as it was closed when I went there, but with full price tickets of €7.50/$9.40 at the time of writing, it does seem like the perfect tourist trap and I definitely wouldn’t have paid that much to go in, unless I had heard or read extremely good recommendations about it. That said, I’ve read a couple of reviews since then, mentioning that it’s fun to visit despite the cost.
